We’ve heard it time and time again– a picture is worth a thousand words. I think that’s so true.
There’s so much that you can learn by looking at a picture. They tell stories without having to say anything. It’s a moment stopped in time. Pictures are the perfect way to remember moments and feelings that can never really fully be explained to other people. And there’s something special about looking back at a picture and reliving that moment over and over again.
The sad part is that most of the pictures we take only live a digital life. They are stuck on a screen and never get the chance to be printed. Sure, there are some pictures that only you need to see, but there are some pictures just begging to be printed and preserved. They are waiting to be hung on your wall, but most of them won’t end up there. They won’t end up documented on a scrapbook page or in a photo album. They will end up on your Facebook page or in an album on your phone. This is the way we live life now– on screens.
I think that it’s important to not let pictures stay trapped on a screen.
I can’t stress it enough: print your pictures. print what matters. print what you want to preserve.
While it is unlikely that something will happen to ruin your scrapbooks and photo albums, you never know when technology may fail you and those precious moments will be gone in the blink of an eye.
A print will always be there.
Digital media goes out-of-date and out-of-style, and the files that you have stored in these digital formats will also go out-of-style and become unaccessible. Yikes!
Imagine having your vacation photos from 20 years ago on a 3.5″ Floppy Disk – how might you access those “digital files” today? You’ll soon have a generation of images that were stored on discs, CD’s and probably USB drives that may not even be accessible.
Think about that for a second.
If you made prints as well, then these changes in technology wouldn’t have a negative impact on you being able to continue to enjoy your images.
A print shouldn’t need to be enjoyed on a screen.
Being “in the moment” and away from technology is not a luxury that you get to enjoy all that often in today’s digital world. There is something nostalgic and romantic about being able to curl up on the couch with your children and look back at a wedding album, or old family photos, without having to flip open a laptop and press the “next” button dozens of times.
A print lasts a lifetime, and often even longer.
Physical prints give you heirlooms to pass down as you move on in your life.
Capture a moment and print it (preserve the moment) not just for today, but for tomorrow, for your children and your children’s children.
Passing down a box of hard drives doesn’t exactly have the same appeal, does it?
Mini Sessions will be held at your choice of 2 locations:
Honeymoon Island (North Beach) :: Sunday, NOVEMBER 19th
Coachman Park :: Sunday, DECEMBER 3rd
Each session will result in approximately 10 images for you to proof and select your favorites.
All sessions also include an in-person proofing and ordering appointment at the studio (111 N. Belcher Rd. Clearwater) so that we can sit together to go through your images, choose your favorites for your cards & prints, and to select any other prints or holiday items you may like to order as gifts.
Mini sessions are great for a quick shoot to grab a few options for holiday cards and gifts.
These are not full, custom sessions, (which are available throughout the holiday season). Full sessions result in more options, more images, more planning, more time, and more control over your scheduling and location.
Not sure what is right for you?
If you have any questions about the differences between full sessions and mini sessions, please ask!

We are looking forward to creating beautiful memories for you!!
We were finally able to photograph this lovely family’s session after having to postpone it several times, thanks to Hurricane Irma. Honeymoon Island was flooded and closed down for several weeks, but we knew the photos would be worth the wait. There’s no place quite like North Beach Honeymoon Island for family sessions.
I think you can see why. The rocks and the jetty make perfect additions to the amazing sunset!
We had to rush to beat the oncoming storm, but we managed to get some amazing shots in a short amount of time.
Just look at this gorgeous sky!
Brayden wasn’t too sure of me at first, but one I took out the starfish and shell, he warmed right up to me and wanted to play. He stole my heart with those big blue eyes.
Such a beautiful family, wouldn’t you say?
I had the great pleasure of meeting this phenomenal family a few weeks ago. It’s not too often that my clients are willing to do anything and everything during their shoot….so i was sure to take them up on it.
Needless to say, that made for some incredible images and an outstanding session!!
These gorgeous sunset family beach sessions at Honeymoon Island have been so amazing lately, especially paired with these flowy dresses Jen & Lauren wore; and they didn’t hesitate to get waist high in the water and climb up on the breaker and the rocks.
It was a great evening to be on the beach. I mean really, just look at that sky!
Hannah emailed me a few weeks ago, mentioning that she was going to be in St. Pete’s for training and wondered if I could fit her and her boyfriend, Chris in to do a couples shoot.
Well, I LOVE photographing couples, so of course I found the time! We decided on Honeymoon Island Beach, simply because it’s the most amazing place (in my opinion) for any type of photo shoot.
When Hannah showed up at the shoot in a beautiful long red gown, and Chris in dress clothes, I was like a giddy school girl! I love when my clients get dressed to the nines, AND want to get in the water! And boy did they ever!! And I did too, of course!
I had an absolute blast with these two, and I left the beach that evening feeling like I’ve known them for years. I meet the most awesome people by being a photographer….and Hannah and Chris are certainly no exception.
Not only is Kristen an amazing Softball player, she’s absolutely gorgeous inside & out!
We hit the park first, then it was onto beautiful Honeymoon Island to have a blast in the water and making some waves of our own.
Ashtin emailed me a while back and mentioned that she and her family were going to be at St. Pete’s Beach and wanted some family photos to remember their trip. I was more than thrilled to capture some special moments for her!
We had a gorgeous sunset that evening, which made the perfect backdrop! McKynlie had a ball blowing glitter, splashing in the ocean and jumping waves with her mom and Brian. I’m not sure who had more fun – them or me!
Chris, Amber & Maddie, are from Somerset, KY and come to Florida every year to vacation on St. Pete Beach.
Amber loves hanging photos all over their walls, and wanted to update their family pictures with some taken at one of their favorite places. Lots of laughs, fun memories and great images came from this shoot! It was such a pleasure to create lasting memories for them!
Here are just a few:
Alek, and his beautiful wife, Chelsea were so fun to photograph! They came down from Indiana for a vacation for a few weeks and wanted family photos taken. When they asked what beach I recommended, I had to tell them about Honeymoon Island. So, they packed up the baby and drove all the way from Reddington Beach to Honeymoon Island to have their session. It’s seriously an incredible place for beach photos and I’m sure they agreed that it was worth the drive.
Little Anthony is so adorable, and such a happy baby. It was easy to capture his smiles and giggles, and he even sat up in the basket all by himself!
I received a call from Kei about 10 days ago, asking if I would be able to do a photo shoot for him and his fiance’, Yuri. They were in town visiting, when they had a last minute idea to have beach photos taken to celebrate their upcoming wedding (in Tokyo!!) in September.
We scheduled for two days later and met at Honeymoon Island. In the meantime, I clicked on the link in Kei’s email signature, and come to find out that he is a professional Orchestra & Symphony Conductor, AND a Professional Photographer! I was in awa of the impressive resume of his that I saw on Wikipedia. AND….it gets better! Yuri, is a Professional Tennis Player AND Fashion Designer! I felt humbled (and a bit inadequate), next to this pair, but the second I met them, I felt as if I’ve known them for years!
We had an absolute blast during their shoot! They were up for anything (which I was thrilled to hear). I love when clients are willing to get wet, play in the ocean and just let loose. That’s exactly what Kei and Yuri did. From jumping over each other, to getting into the water up to their necks (so did I!), and standing on rocks, we did it all. What fun it was to meet this amazing couple and be so honored to capture this special time in their lives.
I’m so very blessed to have may of my clients become my friends, and these two are no exception. I’m looking forward to photographing Yuri in one of her (3) wedding dresses when they get back from Tokyo. It’ll be “Trash the Dress” time! Can’t wait!!
Congratulations Kei & Yuri on your upcoming wedding. Always stay as happy and in love are you are now. You have such a beautiful life ahead of you!
These sweet boys instantly captured my heart. They loved posing and smiling for the camera. We had a lot of laughs during their session!
Here are a few:
Recently celebrating their 10 year anniversary, this pose was a must!
Last summer, I had the pleasure of doing a family beach session for Katy, Evan and their beautiful daughters. They were so pleased with their photos, they called me again this year to capture more memories for them during their annual trip to Clearwater Beach.
I couldn’t believe how big the girls got in just one year! And they remembered me! It was so great to see them all again, and I’m already looking forward to seeing them again next summer.
These are just a few of the great memories we captured!
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this family for the last few years, and last week, I had the honor of capturing some lasting memories for them.
Here are a few images from this shoot on beautiful Honeymoon Island
Tanya, a fellow photographer, emailed me, mentioning she and her family were coming to Florida and wanted a family beach session. What a fun time I had with these awesome people!
As you can see, Addy and Dylan were so funny …..and loved posing for the camera.
Here are just a few from their recent session…
And since Addy LOVES mermaids, I thought I’d make her one!!
There are so many incredible images from this shoot on Friday, but I had to give you a sneak peek in the meantime, while I finish up her gallery.
I photographed Keyshia’s friend, Alyssa a few years ago, and she called me to ask if I would photographer her on the beach as well. I jumped at the chance, because I love shooting Glamour sessions but don’t often get the chance. Does she know how to pose or what? She’s a photographer’s dream!
Matt & Amber have been taking their family to Indian Rocks Beach for vacation for the last several years. They love the quiet section of the beach right in front of the house they rent during their stay. Matt isn’t too fond of the beach, but he loves to fish. In fact, the day of our shoot, he and his boys caught 8 baby sharks, one of which they grilled for dinner.
It was instantly easy to see how much love Cooper and Max have for their little sister, Jolee….and she just adores her brothers. Cooper has many hobbies, including baseball, piano and Taekwondo. Max is just like his dad and would be happy fishing the entire vacation. He is a fireball and loves playing crazy with Jolee. Jolee loves chasing lizards and looking for seashells. She also loves riding on the back of her mommy’s bike at the beach. It warmed my heart to see how close these siblings are. It was a great pleasure to meet all of them and create some long lasting memories from their favorite place to go on vacation.
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing fellow photographer, Kelly Pot and her beautiful family on Treasure Island Beach recently. During their yearly vacation to Florida, Kelly decided she wanted some family photos that she can be in for a change, since she’s usually the one behind the camera. I was honored that she asked me to capture some memories for her and her husband Johan. By the time the shoot was over, I felt like I made a new friend in Kelly. We instantly hit it off and had such a fun time. I can’t wait to see them again next year!
Meet Johan, Kelly, Kasey, Kylie, Kalen and Jacob from Lebanon, Ohio.
